Arusha, a vibrant gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit, is a bustling hub that every adventurer passes through on their way to the wild, setting the perfect stage for the safari of a lifetime.

Tarangire National Park named after the Tarangire River, this "river of warthogs" is a lifeline for wildlife during the dry season. The park is famous for its large elephant herds and you may also encounter giraffes, bushbuck, hartebeest, and their predators, including lions and leopards. Bird enthusiasts will be thrilled, as Tarangire boasts the highest concentration of breeding bird species in the world. You'll also see ancient baobab trees, some over a thousand years old.

After breakfast, you’ll journey into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you approach Ngorongoro Crater, it feels like stepping into a forgotten world. Hidden within its steep volcanic walls is an untouched wilderness of sweeping savannah, acacia woodlands, and shimmering lakes. Formed by a volcanic eruption over two million years ago, the crater spans 260 km² and is renowned both for its dramatic landscape and as a haven for some of Africa’s densest populations of large mammals.
Descending into the Crater, you'll find yourself amidst vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, as well as more than 500 species of birds. The Crater is also one of the best places to spot the endangered black rhino.
After an unforgettable game drive, you'll continue through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, entering the Serengeti from the south for the next part of your adventure.

Beyond the migration, the Serengeti offers incredible chances to spot predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, making it a truly life-changing experience. In the afternoon, you’ll begin your journey back to Karatu, with the possibility of even more wildlife encounters along the way.

After a picnic lunch in the park and an exciting game drive, you’ll bid farewell to your guide. You'll be dropped off at a location of your choosing—whether Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport. We hope your adventure with White Peakok Safaris has been unforgettable!
